We teach and encourage everyone to accept Christ as their personal Savior. Our teachings include how to live by the word of God, how to study the word of God, and how to spread the word of God with others. Our Christian education ministry supports this objective by overseeing our weekly Sunday school program, weekly bible study sessions, Vacation Bible School, and various leadership development courses. During Vacation Bible School, we provide a fun atmosphere filled with skits, singing, crafts, athletic activities, snacks, and Bible lessons about our Lord Jesus Christ.
As a church, we exist for the glory of God and the flourishing of His children. Our ministries exist to grow people in knowledge and faith in Jesus Christ and the gospel. We believe God has a heart for all ages, demographics, and cultures! No matter who you are, at SBC you will find a place to belong and grow.
We provide a nursery facility for children up to two years old. The nursery is in session during our 8:00am and 11:15am worship services. Contact Wanda Warren for more info.
AWANA is a nondenominational youth ministry whose goal is to reach boys and girls with the gospel of Jesus Christ and train them to serve Him. AWANA is a fun way for kids to learn about God through the bible. We include activity sessions for kids in pre-school through middle school to teach our youth how to study, learn the Word and apply it in their lives.
A.W.A.N.A. meets weekly at 6:00pm on Thursdays. Contact Robert Taylor for more info.
We instill the word of God in our youth between the ages of 2-18 years through weekly teaching during our Sunday school program. Additionally, our teachings are supported through special programs, including drama performances, dance performances, and special outings that encourage fellowship. Our youth are also encouraged to serve as an usher, in the choir, and/or on our media team.
We are dedicated to seeking and securing the salvation of every young adult between the ages of 18 – 21. We contribute to their spiritual enrichment, foster their spiritual growth and provide guidance and encouragement for their walk with Christ. We support these objectives by hosting outings and other opportunities for fellowship. Our young adults are encouraged to serve as an usher, in the choir, and/or on our media team.
Young adult bible studies occur weekly at 7:00pm on Wednesdays.
We provide many opportunities for training and equipping men for their walk with Christ. Our ongoing program includes bible study, discipleship training, leadership development, service opportunities, accountability groups, male chorus, and special outings and events. We encourage men to progress in their spiritual walk as Disciples of Christ, as servant-leaders to their families, as active members of the church body, and as examples of integrity in the workplace.
We provide a safe environment where women can find support for spiritual growth in their relationship with God through peace and love. We also create a bond of sisterhood that reaches beyond the walls of the church, fulfilling the great commission and making disciples by reaching out and supporting the sick, shut-in and those that are bereaved. We foster this growth in women through weekly bible study, mentorship and fellowship, cultivating healthy relationships by spending time together and really getting to know each other.
Men's and women's groups meet weekly on Thursday nights at 6:30pm. Childcare is provided through A.W.A.N.A.
